Pediatric Rehabilitation & Jumpstart

For children who need comprehensive rehabilitation treatment, STARS offers a full program of pediatric rehabilitation services. The program uses advanced medical developmental, educational, and recreational services under the direction of physical, occupational, and speech/language therapists. STARS’ therapy services incorporate neuro-developmental treatment techniques, early childhood philosophies, and sensory processing principles. Pediatric rehabilitation is used for children with:

• Cerebral Palsy
• Down Syndrome
• Autism
• Neurological Disorders
• Genetic Syndromes
• Orthopedic Needs
• Communication Disorders
• Feeding and Swallowing disorders

The goal of therapy is to encourage each child's development within a healthy family environment. Our coordinated team approach provides interdisciplinary care that centers on family participation, education and training. Our program also includes helping the child integrate into school and community. Consultations are available in the areas of diet/nutrition, nursing and Orthopedic concerns.

Jumpstart
Jumpstart provides a comprehensive program of neuro-developmental treatment, sensory processing, language-based curriculum, and early childhood development philosophies in a preschool setting for children between the ages of 3-6 years. We provided occupation, phsycial, and speech/language services in a coordinated interdisciplinary approach. Jumpstart meets 4 days a week for 3 hours a day and provides intensive therapy services with a ratio of 1:1 therapist to child.
