Welcome to the Rehabilitation Unit at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center. The inpatient Orthopedic Program is located on the hospital's 3-West floor at the main site which is located at 1055 North Curtis Road in Boise, Idaho.
The Orthopedic Program at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center is designed for those who have sustained a hip fracture, joint replacement, amputation, or arthritic conditions resulting in challenges to mobility and independent living.
A complex array of functional capabilities is affected when an orthopedic problem occurs. This can include mobility challenge, daily living deficits, recreational activities, vocational potential, and social relationships. If you begin your rehabilitation soon after your orthopedic surgery or illness, you increase your chance for a more positive recovery.
Our orthopedic team, led by a physiatrist, a doctor trained in physical medicine and rehabilitation, will identify and work with each person's unique abilities taking into consideration any predisposed medical conditions. We will follow your progress from acute care through outpatient rehabilitation.
Recovering from an orthopedic injury or intervention means rebuilding your strength and muscles. We will assess your abilities and work with you to improve your function. We will help you regain mobility and meet the challenges of daily living. Our integrated treatment approach combines current rehabilitation techniques with a state-of-the-art facility.
