What Do We Expect of You?
As a patient in this program you have many rights and privileges, but as the
most important member of your treatment team, you also have many responsibilities. Here
is what we ask of you:
Do your best:
- Work hard and put forth your best effort!
- If you are given a day planner
or memory book to use, keep it with you at all times and take to each therapy.
Follow instructions:
- Follow all of your doctor's recommendations.
- Do your homework! Do any home
programs and homework assignments given to you.
Be considerate of others:
- Always be kind, considerate, and respectful of other patients and staff.
- Respect
the privacy of other people's treatment sessions.
- Help us to keep the volume
down by speaking softly.
Talk to us:
- Let your doctors and therapist know if you have any
concerns about your medical condition.
- Let your Social Worker know if you
are having trouble with a member of your treatment team.
- Let your Social Worker
also know if you have any concerns about the program, its practices, or how
you are being treated.
- You should also share with your Social Worker
any concerns you have about someone's attitudes or behaviors.
- Let the
staff know if you do not understand the reason for a given activity.
- Let
your Social Worker know if you would like any additional information
or education concerning your brain injury or any related difficulties
you might be having.
- Keep the lines of communication open! Always
feel free to tell us how we can be of further assistance to you and your
family
