Assistance for Essential Living Expenses
The Nalen Fund is intended to help patients with essential living expenses that become a burden due to a patient being indigent, losing income due to their illness, or having an unanticipated or overly burdensome financial need. The Nalen Fund was established by David Nalen, a man who had cancer and knew first hand the challenges cancer can pose for patients and their families.

The Nalen Fund has become a living tribute to his memory. One hundred percent of contributions to the Nalen Fund are used to provide emergency financial assistance to patients and families who are unable to afford basic expenses while going through cancer treatment.

• Daycare
• Transportation
• Other essentials

Funds are distributed after a needs assessment by a Cancer Care Center social worker and approval by our Foundation director. David Nalen wanted funds to be easily accessible to those in need so they could focus their time and energy toward healing. All requests are handled immediately.
