Healing Environment

The Cancer Care Center incorporates evidence-based design principles recognized for improving health, healing and quality of life. These healing principles related to shapes, lighting, colors, forms, function, texture, materials and art have been applied throughout the Center to reflect an environment of warmth and healing. Some examples of the healing principles found in the Cancer Care Center include:

• Transformation colors of blue, green and terra-cotta with accents of purple
• Wooden architectural features
• Natural elements incorporated throughout the design
• Sweeping views of the Boise Foothills
• Private consultation areas
• Natural light
• Specially selected artwork, chosen for its calming and inspirational images

The Cancer Care Center is about patient-centered care and is central to Saint Alphonsus' Vision 2010 and the creation of the Center for Advanced Healing.
