Use of pneumococcal vaccine: Group results
Percentage of eligible pneumonia patients receiving
an immunization for pneumococcal pneumonia during their hospital stay. Immunization
for pneumococcal pneumonia (pneumonia caused by one type of bacteria)
is recommended for certain groups of patients, including those hospitalized
with community acquired pneumonia. Many patients can be safely immunized
while they are at the hospital.
