patients receiving the appropriate antibiotics to treat their pneumonia. Pneumonia
is a lung infection that is usually caused by bacteria or a virus. If pneumonia
is caused by bacteria, the infection is treated with antibiotics. This includes
patients who are in the intensive care unit (ICU), as well as patients who are
not in the ICU.
