Medical Center

Phone: 208-459-4641
West Valley Medical Center, Caldwell’s community hospital, is one of the leading hospital facilities and employers in the state of Idaho. This 150-bed facility is nationally accredited and has been part of the Hospital Corporation of America (HCA) family since 1975.
Saint Alphonsus and West Valley Medical Center have collaborated to enhance the quality of care and provide an expanded network of clinical resources for residents of the western Treasure Valley – the Saint Alphonsus-West Valley Health Alliance.

The Alliance will provide a coordinated system of care that will broaden community access to specialized services at Boise-based Saint Alphonsus, and enhance clinical quality across the continuum of care.  The Saint Alphonsus-West Valley Health Alliance brings a higher level of comprehensive healthcare services to Caldwell by:

  • Improving access to primary care, specialty, and sub-specialty physicians
  • Providing access to state-of-the-art technologies and expanded telemedicine applications
  • Enhancing the scope of healthcare services available in Caldwell, so patients don't have to travel to Boise; some of the first services include inpatient pain management, rehabilitation, an anti-coagulation clinic, and cardiac protocols.
  • Coordinating care through shared clinical protocols to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs
